In addition to Soccer International’s Harvey Norman Player of the Month and Harvey Norman Player of the Year, as seen in the magazine, this season we’ve introduced the Soccer International Harvey Norman Player of the Week.

The inaugural winner is Gold Coast’s Samba King Robson.

Signed during Miron Bleiberg’s scouting mission in South America, the midfielder learnt his craft with Brazilian super-club Flamengo.

The 22-year-old’s dominance in the middle of the park in the first ever South-East Queensland A-League derby on Saturday was nothing short of sublime. His mazy solo run to score in the game’s dying moments was the reward for a brilliant debut that sounded a warning across the country that a new crack-Brazilian has arrived.

Robson is now in the running for the Soccer International Harvey Norman Player of the Month and the Soccer International Harvey Norman Player of the Year. Keep checking the site each week to see who has grabbed themselves our weekly nod.
