Ground to be made up this weekend

With van Aken well in the lead, courtesy of Betstar, Stergiopoulos is perched to make up lost ground in the betting this weekend at home and abroad.

MvA Before we start mate, let’s just remind everyone how much we’ve won for the Johnny Warren Football Foundation thus far shall we? I’m at $300.55, where are you?

MS Yeah, yeah, I’m at $179.71, so you’re a genius I guess… or just lucky.

MvA I know Wellington is all hyped over the World Cup, but Melbourne are a great unit, especially on the road. I’m whacking $15 down on the Victory to win at $2.30.

MS North Queensland are paying $5 to win at Sydney. They are the big improvers in the league and there’ll be 100 English backpacker twats behind the goals chanting for Fowler, so I’m throwing $20 on them.

MvA Good old Sterg, always betting value over what will actually happen. Got a question for you mate, do you reckon Timmy Cahill will follow your boys down to the Championship.

MS (Silence).

MvA No response huh? I am confident that your mob is going to pretty much lose most of its remaining games, starting with Spurs at Goodison this weekend. I’m down for $20 on Tottenham for the win at $2.46.

MS Good on you. We beat AEK in the Europa League yesterday. I’m grabbing a multi-bet with Sunderland to beat Fulham away and for Man City to draw with Chelsea at Midlands. I’m down for $30 and it’s gonna return $341.70.

MvA All good. My last bet, and admittedly I haven’t picked my Il Globo this week so I don’t know all the ins and outs, is on Sampdoria away to AC Milan. They’re fourth on the table and paying a whopping $6.20 to win, they’re only four points behind the Rossoneri, I’m down for my last $15. ‘Til next week Stergiboy, happy punting, and bring on England in the World Cup draw.

Soccer International’s Mark van Aken and Marcus Stergiopolus go head-to-head each week with $50 donated courtesy of Betstar. Their mission is to out-punt each other with end-of-season proceeds going to the Johnny Warren Football Foundation.
