After a short spell Soccer International’s Mark van Aken and Marcus Stergiopoulos are back to raise some cash for the Johnny Warren Football Foundation... that’s the plan anyway. Courtesy of Betstar they’re putting $50 on the line on the weekend football action.

MvA  Stergiboy, let’s make it short and sweet as I know you’re keen to get out and about in your new motor.

MS  Keep that on the down low big boy. Straight up, I’m throwing $10 on Man City to win against Liverpool at $4.10.

MvA  Surely that’s a good bet as my boys are turgid at the minute. Not sure what the injury situation is for the weekend, but things are going from bad to worse at Anfield. Just to change it up I’m going to wager $20 on the draw at $3.25. What else you got for me?

MS  I’ve got Sheffield Wednesday to beat Ipswhich Town for $15. It’s paying $3.70.

MvA  I wouldn’t have a clue about the form in the Championship right now so I’ll take your word that it’s a good bet. I’m sticking with the Prem betting and grabbing Man United to beat Everton at home and Arsenal to pinch three points at Sunderland in a double to win. That will return a shade over $65.

MS  So you’ve shot it all on two bets, that’s not like you mate. Anyway, I’m thinking Wellington will still be buzzing from the World Cup qualification so I’m placing my remaining $25 on them to win away to Newcastle Jets, it’s paying $3.30. All up I stand to make $179 for the future of Aussie football… makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

MvA  Indeed. So it’s back on mate - may the best punter win.
